Outstanding Lightweight BB Cream: 100% Cruelty-Free

SCENT: This bb cream definitely has that makeup smell, but I find it much more tolerable than the maybelline one. COLOR: I got medium dark. I would say I’m a typical brown tan color for south asians, but this color was slightly too dark for me until my face actually got some sun and tanned a bit. Something to be wary of. Medium would’ve been too light for me at any time. APPLICATION: I find this applied better with my fingers than with a sponge because the sponge absorbed some and/or made it a bit patchy. It blended seamlessly into my skin with my fingers, using some tapping motion on spots where I needed more coverage, and normal rubbing motions everywhere else. COVERAGE: It has pretty good coverage compared to the maybelline one. It covered my red pimple pretty easily, but still looked super natural. With concealer, it would probably look like a medium/full face. I don’t use concealer with it because it looks natural without + dont need it. FINISH: For a normal/sometimes oily skin type, it definitely helped mattify my face a little bit. I usually always have to set makeup with powder, but I didn’t with this because it was such a light application. A setting spray helped it look more alive but it looked fine without too. Only have worn it for max 8 hours at a time, so don’t know how it would last all day. By the end of the 8 hours, I was still semi-matte. OVERALL: I was on the fence about it at first, but for the price it’s definitely worth a shot. With a brush you could probably get more coverage, and if you mixed in a glow product with it I imagine it would look nice too.

My Favorite BB Cream!
CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream is my absolute favorite BB cream! I’ve tried several other brands, and none can really compare. I’ve been using CG clean matte BB cream for nearly two years, and I haven’t searched for anything else since! I normally purchase it from a drugstore, but I happened to order it from Amazon this time and I’m not disappointed! Same quality product, and I actually received two bottles instead of just the one I had ordered (not sure if this was intentional or not)!Some advice when using this product: don’t use your hands/fingers to apply! I get excellent and quick coverage using a foundation brush. Sponges (wet or dry) seem to absorb the product no matter what. The foundation brush applies the BB cream “effortlessly” and thoroughly. This is NOT a tinted moisturizer, so don’t expect it to feel like one! It’s a little thick but it feels very lightweight. Great staying power for someone with oily skin! I do wish that CG would make more shades because I find myself needing to mix fair and light together during the winter months. I have warm to neutral undertones and some days the fair looks too chalky and the light looks to yellow. In the summer I really like the light/medium shade. I mix it with a few drops of illuminating bronzer and my skin looks absolutely radiant! Try it for yourself and see!
