Great primer
Ordered this a few days ago and I am really pleased with the results. Make up lasts longer. I can tell it’s holding on to my makeup and impacting my finish. And it doesn’t feel sticky upon application. Will buy again !

I tested this primer for a month, and here’s what I can say:
It’s definitely hydrating, and foundation applies nicely on top of it. It has a light aloe vera gel scent — not overpowering — and it feels weightless on the skin. It does its job as a makeup base.However, I often apply primer to my neck as well when blending it out from the face, and I noticed that it tends to pill in those areas. Also, if you touch your face a couple of hours after applying makeup, the foundation may come off — especially on the cheeks near the ears and on the chin.One more thing: the packaging doesn’t have a cap, and the pump can’t be locked in any way.

Warning…review from non makeup professional😶
I have no idea if I got a faulty batch, but this does not grip at all. If you’re comparing it to the elf grip primer, I promise you this is not comparable. It is a hydrating jelly. I will say that. It’s not horrible. But no, it doesn’t grip. To be honest, I’m trying so hard to find a primer that actually helps make up last longer on top of using a setting sprayer setting powder. I still can’t find anything. I like Essence. They’re affordable. They’re nice. But this is very much not a gripping primer. That said, I’ll still give it 3 stars because…it at the very least was hydrating

Although I did not order the Maybelline grippy serum, I did get the essence jelly grip hydrating primer and I must say it is the duplicate for this product and at half the cost so I definitely recommend you at least try it.

Je l’utilise avant la pose de mon fond de teint ou parfois juste la poudre libre, je le trouve très bien. Il est bien frais kirs de la pose et pour moi il est efficace . J’ai l’impression qu’il caloufek quand même enfin je veux dire agité un peu sur le lissage de la peau. J’adore cette marque, j’utilise pratiquement tous les produits essence et j’en suis tjs ravie. Les prix sont abordable et je pense de bonne qualité car je n’ai jamais eu de problème

Ich bin wirklich positiv überrascht von dem Jelly Grip Primer von Essence! Aufgetragen über meinem SPF rollt er sich nicht ab und fühlt sich nicht unangenehm klebrig an. Trotzdem verbessert er die Haftung der Foundation spürbar – mein Make-up sieht deutlich glatter aus und hält viel länger.Die Haut wirkt schön gepflegt, leicht glowy und bleibt den ganzen Tag über angenehm mit Feuchtigkeit versorgt.Für den kleinen Preis ist das wirklich ein tolles Produkt – absolute Empfehlung!
