Pretty cool stuff. It’s totally clear and looks like a harder gel. I used a cheap Wet and Wild Brush to apply. But it goes on feeling like a very soft and light powder. Totally clear. Seems to blur my pores a little also. And it works. Shine free!!!! A little seems to go a long way also! It seems to not need a lot to get the effect. I used it golfing. I should have been a shiny mess but nope, my skin stayed and it seemed to help my makeup last too!

My Face’s Personal BodyguardThis primer is basically a bouncer for my makeup. It checks everyone at the door and makes sure they’re going to behave for the next 8-12 hours. No rowdy foundation allowed, no smudgy mascara causing problems.I have combination skin that can’t make up its mind – am I oily? Am I dry? Am I having an existential crisis? Yes to all three, usually before lunch. This primer just looks at my face’s drama and says “Not today, Satan.”The pore-minimizing effect is real. I went from having pores you could see from space to having skin smoother than my attempts at small talk. My selfie game has improved 347%.Only giving it 4 stars because now I’m convinced I need primer for everything in my life. Primer for awkward conversations? Primer for Monday mornings? If Milani could bottle that, I’d buy it immediately.

Better than powder!
I’ve always had oily skin as young as age 8, which is now oily to combo as I’ve gotten older. Ever since I began wearing makeup in my early teens, I’ve tried probably hundreds of mattifying and oil-absorbing products by now. I wasn’t sure about this one, but I took a chance and glad I did! I only use this over my foundation when I get oilier in the afternoon. I blot my face first like I always do, then sweep a small fingertip sponge over the product and lightly pat it over my nose and face — no wiping or rubbing. Spectacular, it indeed takes the shine away without caking or settling into my pores and lasts hours more, better than powder! I do like the texture as an alternative to powder, no powder fallout from a brush or worrying about the cake breaking apart if I drop it or when I get down to the bottom of the pan. Please don’t stop making this, buying backups just in case!

Blurs Pores, Erases Shine!
This stuff is ah-mazing!! I struggle with most powder makeup, it looks cakey and “fake” on me. This jelly to powder stuff doesn’t, its fun to use and look at in its compact lol. Its clear, like a clear firm jello, you rub your finger across the surface a few times and then swipe it on. I use it around my nose where I get greasy. Woke up this morning feeling super oily there and swiped some of this on, that was hours ago and it still has a semi matte look and feels super soft smooth, it “ate” all the oil away. As best as I can describe the look of this on my face is “smooth natural skin”, you cant see it, your skin just looks nice. And yes, it blurs pores too! I use this over primer and a liquid highlighter, liquid bronzer mix that i put all over my face, it should work no issue, with foundations. I plan to get backups of this stuff!

Returned for a reason. Use powder instead.
Returned. Yes it mattered. But it also took off my makeup underneath. You constantly have to put the most minimal product just to matting and have your makeup underneath come off. If you pick up too much chunks come off on your face or stay on your makeup tool. Overall disappointing. I wanted this to touch up and although I was mattered it screwed up my makeup tool and my makeup underneath. Returned.

Totally useless.
Does not really control the shine on my face. I used a brush, my fingers and a sponge to apply under and over my makeup and I still got break through shine. If I use my over my makeup there is some separation of the makeup and it starts to look weird if a light touch is not used. I would not purchase again.

This stuff makes the best primer! It’s expensive for the small amount but it just works so much better than anything else I’ve tried. I have very sensitive acne prone skin that gets super oily but also somehow dry at the same time 😩 This compact does not control my oil, I still have to blot continuosly throughout the day, but the finish that it gives my powder foundation is really nice. It stops it from looking cakey and my makeup stays in place all day. I usually use it as a primer (applied with a very clean slightly firm foundation brush) and then dab a bit on top as a final step. The only issue I’ve run into is sometimes the surface of it can start to ball up a bit, but using a brush as opposed to a sponge helps with that, and I also spritz the brush with alcohol every morning and clean it on a cotton pad or a bit of kitchen roll before using it. It has no scent which is a big plus in my opinion, and it causes no irritation or breakouts.
