Gorgeous Shimmer & Instant Strength for Damaged Nails!
I absolutely love butter LONDON Mellow the Yellow Nail Strengthener! The shimmery color is beautiful and gives my nails a healthy, polished look without needing extra layers. The application was incredibly smooth, and I was amazed at how instantly my damaged nails felt stronger. It’s lightweight yet effective, making my nails look brighter and healthier right away. This polish is perfect for anyone dealing with brittle or discolored nails—it exfoliates, strengthens, and enhances their natural beauty all at once. Definitely a must-have for nail care!

Subtle shine
The big Butter London square cap pops off, and there is a standard sized cap underneath, with no-slip grooves in it. I did need some pliers to loosen the cap the first use, and it’s been an easy hand-open every time after that.I don’t have yellowing nails, so I can’t address that – I bought this because I saw a picture and liked the color. The color and shine are gorgeous. I have light skin with a lot of pink in it. This polish is glossy with a *hint* of muted pink to it, which makes my nails look uniform and pretty, but not unnatural. If I put on my peeper glasses I can see there is a very fine purple glitter to it, but nothing like a glittery nail polish. I usually go with one or two coats, and it’s plenty shiny, but doesn’t have that heavy, glassy, sticky lipgloss looking shine that my clear coats have. The coverage is smooth and forgiving of my less-than-perfect application. It seems very durable. I have six children and no dishwasher, and as the polish inevitably wears down or chips, the color and sheen are so subtle, the wear isn’t immediately noticeable. I only apply polish once a week – it definably needs redoing by day 7, but nothing like my color polishes – those look downright tatty by day seven. (My color polishes are also brands like Butter London, OPI, and Essie. It probably doesn’t stick better, just looks less drastic as it wears.)

Good for yellow
It’s great for yellow, but not good for the white spots that you get in your nails

Does Not take yellow out of nails
This product does make it look like there is no yellow tone to your nails, however, it indicates it is a treatment and that not be the case. When you take the polish off, your nails are still yellow.. It’s basically a cover up .. and does look amazing when on

It Works!
Definitely makes my nails look brighter. It also seems to be helping with less splitting.I’ve tried many different kinds of polish over the years and this one is my favorite. It dries quickly so I use it every other day and remove it weekly.

Honest Review, I have 3 problems with this product.
The color looks great once on, I got a lot of compliments. However, 1. it doesn’t actually take the yellow out of your nails, it COVERS the yellow. Like any other colored nail polish. Which I think is a little misleading, but whatever. 2. The brush doesn’t reach near the bottom of the bottle, it falls around the middle, so when you’re halfway through the product, which you will be quickly since 3. the polish peels after a couple days, you’re there practically tipping over the bottle to get a bit of polish. All in all, given the misleading representation, poor packaging and overall quality, this product is not worth $18. CND, OPI and Essie are far superior in quality and price. Don’t waste your money on good marketing.

Not good.
Peeled off within 8 hours of using, painted double coat. Not sure if I got just a defective old bottle or what? And it’s not a nail strengthener – it’s a nail brightener…Look at the picture.

Pricey polish
My nails are quite stained and using this product made them look normal. In bright light you can see the blue iridescence but not overwhelming. I tried it on the 7th and removing on the 18. It started chipping. Pricey! I’m going to try the base coat next, hopefully it works well so I’m not staining my nails even more. Update: I reapplied this polish and applied a nail polish over it. Wow! 8 days and still going strong. But I need a top coat because the nail polish lost it shine. This is worth it. No improvement in growth but very strong. Buy it!!!

My once weak, brittle, thin nails look healthy and healing; they now deserve younger hands! My journey to healing nails began with Butter London products: Melt Away Cuticle Exfoliation, Jelly Preserve Nail Strengthener, Mellow the Yellow Nail Brightener, plus a glass cuticle pen, Essie Apricot Cuticle oil, and Kur Strengthening Lacquer remover. Sally Hansen and products have been a waste of money and brutal on my nails. Plus I’ve learned using Vaseline on my hands after the cuticle oil has been rubbed and soaked helps to seal in oil and moisture. Can’t wait to see what my nails will look like in two weeks!

I purchased this to give my toe nails some love after repeated pedicures with dark polish that left them stained. I use other butter London products which at first I thought were too pricey, but they are worth the cost.

I really love this product. I didn’t buy it bc my nails were yellow but bc I wanted a milky sheer finish on top of my clear polish. It just elevated my nails w/o seeming like I had colour on. If I wanted a real milky layer, I could do 2 coats but generally one coat on top of the London butter nail rescue did the trick.Just a note that the product does not work on delaminated nails – so if your nails are flaking, it won’t stay on that part – you’ll need a keratin rescue product to address that issue. :(I only gave it a 4 star bc I don’t love the bottle & the brush – it’s clear I will need to buy one of those nail polish holders for the bottle in order to tip it & use it – otherwise you’d eventually have to hold & tip the bottle in order to get at the product. It the product itself is great & goes on well.

It didn’t work very well on my two really bad fingers/nails, but was a gem on the normal nails.

This product is on the pricey side, but it does work. Have been super frustrated with my nail yellowing from constantly painting my nails, but this product is a life saver, especially when you want to get a break from color without but are embarrassed by your stained nails.
