Great loose powder. Nice looking container
This has always been my favorite unscented loose powder, which I have used for years. I couldn’t find it locally any more and was delighted to see it was available on-line. I originally purchased it for the good looking container but kept on buying it for the good quality.

Best setting powder ever. The product lasts forever and is such a good price. It does have a smell but i honestly like it but if you’re sensitive to smells or don’t like scent on your face i wouldn’t recommend

Perfecting loose powder updated review
I remember back in the late 60’s and early 70’s sneaking into my mom’s make-up drawer in the bathroom to use this same powder. I have been using the original for years, and never really minded the smell since it goes away once applied. This is first time using the talc-free translucent formula. The smell is lighter- a bit citrus or lemon scent, but the coverage is what made the biggest impression. I am not wrinkly nor scarred, but habits of a lifetime of not wanting to be shiny or blotchy make me so happy this provides an even, matte and bright pearly finish. I have found the pads from the old container are much better than the sponge pads so I just wash them and reuse…. UPDATE: 6/19/25 for me this powder still looks beautiful, but I started noticing a grainy texture to my face and little hard bumps that I never had before, then followed by some painful red patches, that have persisted. I did a bit of research of discussions on this new formula with many preferring the original, and though I am still not sure it was this powder, it is the only thing in my simple make up process for decades that is different, and I’m not really liking other brands so I will be ordering the original formula.

Great alternative to many expensive loose powders
I purchased this powder after hearing so many good things about it. While it performs just as well or even better than my Laura Mercier translucent powder for a huge fraction of the cost, there are a few things that did lead me to drop it down a star. First of all, the packaging needs work. The lid is not secure – you just simply pull the lid off and place it back on. I need to be especially careful when storing my powder or else the lid will come off or if I drop it then powder will get everywhere. Second, I didn’t realize how fragrant the powder was going to be. I am sensitive to a lot of fragrances and I sometimes get headaches so this product is a hit or miss depending on the day. Most days I can tolerate it but some days it makes me nauseous. If it wasn’t for the fact that the powder blends well on my face and doesn’t cake throughout the day, I’d probably say this was a waste of money but I can’t argue when I’m saving a lot more money when I’m dropping cash on powder.Overall, I recommend this product if you’re looking for a cheap, quality powder. But I’d stay away if you’re extremely sensitive to perfumy fragrances especially since the smell is on your face.

Worth It!
PLEASE NOTE: I did not receive the Original Formula I ordered. I received the talc-free. This will be a review of the talc-free version.I am very close to 40. Every time I’ve worn liquid foundation I’ve felt miserable, watery eyes, felt like I had plaster on my skin. I decided to try what my Grammy used and just give Airspun a shot.All I used for my base is my regular facial moisturizer and the Airspun. I don’t care for the little “puff” included and I used a large powder brush to apply. The puff is about as flat as a fast food pancake, and the pancake might apply the product better.The Airspun is light as a feather, looks natural, and just blends and evens out my skin. I love it. It does require touch ups on my oily spots every once in a while throughout the day.The scent definitely has that “gramma cosmetics” smell, but it does dissipate… after an hour or so. It’s not worth knocking a star off for, but if they ever came out with an unscented version, I’d switch in a heartbeat.Pic is unfiltered, regular iPhone front camera.

Shades are too light, foundation mattes well
This brand of powder setter is good for photographs. It doesn’t have “flashback”. It also mattes the skin and keeps your forehead from getting shiny. The price is amazing. However, I have tried the different shades and they all seem too light. It can be blended, but the best option is translucent. It sort of disappears. I tried this in honey beige because I’m tan, but the honey beige looks no different than the lighter shades I’ve tried. I decided to return this because it’s just so light. I wish the honey beige actually looked honey beige.
