Good product. Big fan of Essie products. Used this under a dark red with no staining afterwards. No peeling of nails either. Good brush.

Necessity for brittle nails
Between this base coat and Hard as Hoof lotion, I’ve been able to grow natural nails for a few years now, where I couldn’t at any point before. I work a job where I wear nitrile gloves several hours a day (sweat causing polish adhesion issues) and am pretty hard on my hands in general. Tried probably half a dozen other base coats prior to this, and this one extends my polish life on top of helping keep my nails from breaking at work.

Great until it isn’t
I loved this base coat as I just like clear nail polish on my natural nails, but it is almost impossible to get off with just remover. I ended up having to file the top of my nails to get it off completely.

Laisse une belle brillance aux ongles.fait naturelle et propre et tiens longtemps….parcontre je donne 4 étoiles car il vous faudra du vernis essie après cette couche de base si vous mettez du vernis car 2 autres de mes vernis sallyhensen et un autre ont reagis et ça fait pleins de microbulles(réaction chimique)donc manicure gâché .Mais si vous l’utiliser seule c’est vraiment parfait

Very happy with this base coat. My bottle was full to the top which was nice, I’ve painted my nails 3 different times now and the bottle still looks brand new. It has a very watery texture but it makes it much easier to apply, make sure you use small amounts. It’s easy to smooth out and dries quick

Although I know it is protecting my weak nails and probably making them stronger, it does chip off sooner than I would like. I therefore, must remove what is left and re-apply.
